Can this be used with Feed the Beast - InfinityEvolved?

Is this compatible with a FTB Infinity Evolved server?

Here is the situation. My fiancee and I have an infinity server. We also have a Vive and think it would be cool to set it up so that one person could go in with the Vive while the other person plays normal. I host the server on a separate box so I have no problem with modifying the server files if necessary. Here are the main questions I have.

Can you set up multiple profiles to play in VR? Can she go in under her character and me under mine.

Second, can this be configured to launch through the Feed the Beast Launcher?

I am trying to get it to work now without success. Would love to have the option to be able to play feed the beast mods on my vive!

I mean, picking up minecraft again on VR is one thing, but a FTB modpack is going to give is so much more depth!

Using the FTB / Curse / Twitch / Technic Launcher

Ok I'm not sure but I did some digging.

If I understand it correct to get FTB mods in Vivecraft I/one need(s) to:

1-install Minecraft and run it so it creates folders

2-Download and install Forge, Forge is later needed to install the FTB mods

4 download desired FTB modpack

5 Install the FTB modpack trough steps described in the link in step two.



It's been years ago since I played FTB and I'm pretty sure installing it went different then so my questions are.
1 Can any one confirm this would be the right way to get FTB working with Vivecraft?
2 Do I understand it correctly I need forge to install FTB modpacks?

I think I'm figuring it out now, the FAQ is not being very elaborate if you are doing this for the first time but I think I might be getting there.

omg I got it working!

It doesn't say "EDIT PROFILE" in the minecraft launcher, it says "LAUNCH OPTIONS"

It's like saying, "now press the purple square button with the yellow stripes" while there is none and you need to push the yellow button with the blue dots"

Instructions are hard to follow if they are off.

It also would not hurt to put in the FAQ that most FTB mods are not the same version as the latest Minecraft version and you should download the same vivecraft version as the ftb mod runs, well, I assume.

How I would create another profile containing vivecraft and another ftb modpack is a mystery to me though.
I just figured out how to alter the excising vivecraft profile.

You will have to make a new profile and copy all the fields. The old minecraft launcher had the 'edit profile' button and a very handy 'duplicate profile' button. The new launcher is basically just... terrible.

Hi, I too run a dedicated custom modpack from a pc at home and don't understand how to install this mod to it. It talks about profiles and installing to minecraft but I run my modpack game though the Curse forge app (was twitch). So how do I install it to that? Is there a download where I can just copy and paste the files in? I assume put a mod in the mods folder and copy files to library folder etc?
